U8 Boys Mini-Camp

The U8 boys mini-camp starts Monday July 19th. Camp will run every night 6:30-7:30 pm at Washburn Rural High School. Make sure your son brings a size 4 soccer ball, lots of water, cleats and shinguards. Please note that the intersection of Wanamaker and 61st Street is closed. To get to the high school you will need to come from the east.

U8 Tryout # 2 on 6/19/10

We will be conducting our 2nd tryout for the U8 boys team this Saturday, June 19th @ 6:00 pm. This will probably be the last tryout. Only 2 or 3 spots remain and they will more than likely be filled after Saturday’s tryout. If you plan on having your son tryout, please make sure to attend.

We have sent out over 300 invitations for our U8 and U11 Boys tryouts. If you plan on trying out, please visit the appropriate tryout page and fill out a player info form. Please arrive early to tryouts to fill out some initial paperwork. Below are a few F.A.Q.s concerning tryouts. Feel free to contact us with any other questions.

Tryout F.A.Q.s

Who should tryout for FC Majestic?
Any recreational or competitive soccer player in the Topeka area that feels they have the skills and dedication to train and play at a higher level.

What try out should my child attend?
All of them if possible. If there are several boys trying out, it is best to attend all 3 to make sure your son gets a second and third look.

What do we need to bring to tryouts?
Player: Cleats, Ball, Shin Guards, Water, Good Attitude, Hard Work Ethic.
Parent: Your son and a lawn chair.

What happens after tryouts?
If your son is asked to join the team: Once tryouts have been completed we will contact you to get some final details. We will need registration forms filled out and uniform size and info.

If your son is not asked to join the team: please make sure he keeps his head up and continues to play soccer. The older the team gets the more players we need to fill our roster. Remember there are only 10-11 spots (u8) and 12-13 spots (u11) available. Kids will develop at different speeds and times and some may not be quite ready to make the switch to competitive soccer.
